Why ALECK?
– Scottish Tradition: In Scotland, where Bell was born, it is common to use diminutive forms of names. “Aleck” is a familiar form of “Alexander.”
– Early Family Use: Bell’s family affectionately called him “Aleck” from a young age, a tradition that continued throughout his life.
– Personal Identity: The nickname “Aleck” provided Bell a sense of personal identity, distinguishing his informal, personal life from his formal, public persona as Alexander Graham Bell.
Celebrate with us and commemorate the legacy of Alexander Graham Bell with a fun and memorable event!
