Soup for the Soul: Brantford Lunch Program Feeds 150 People Daily
Brantford’s downtown core is home to a powerful community, driven to make an everyday impact: Soup for the Soul, a weekday lunch program run through St. Andrew’s, provides free hot meals to anyone in need—no ID or questions required.
Operating Monday to Friday, 1–2 p.m., the program has seen steady demand. In 2024, over 34,000 meals were served, and so far in 2025, the program has already provided 14,000 meals. That’s an average of 150 people fed per day a clear sign of how important this service is to the community.

Located at St Andrew’s United Church
Organized by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, the program is always in need of support from the community. You can help by:
- Volunteering your time
- Donating non-perishable food or hygiene items (think: shampoo, shelf-stable snacks, chocolate, or nuts)
- Giving financially donations can be made via cheque (payable to St. Andrew’s with “Soup for the Soul” in the memo) or online through the St. Andrew’s website
Jeff from Living in Brantford spoke to Jeanine, one of the program leads. Watch the short interview to learn more about how this program operates and how you can be part of the solution.

It takes a community to feed a community Soup for the Soul proves that every day.
