Join the lively Canada Day celebration at the Lions Park Steve Brown Sports Complex, located at 12 Edge Street, on July 1st. This year promises an exciting array of festivities, ensuring fun for the entire family. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. and run until a spectacular fireworks display lights up the night sky at 10 p.m.

The Young Canadian Stage offers a delightful lineup of performances perfect for children and families. Starting at 12:00 p.m., the Rumple and Friends Show promises to entertain with humour and magic. At 12:40 p.m., kids can join the “Fun at the Fair Dance Party” with Poppy from Trolls, sure to get everyone moving. Other special appearances include Fire Chief Marshall from Paw Patrol and Debra Brown and her Circus Friends.

Meanwhile, the Main Stage features an eclectic mix of musical performances throughout the day. At 12:15 p.m., Nosey Neighbour takes the stage, followed by Jack Sith at 1:15 p.m. The Tyler Wilson Band will keep the energy high at 2:15 p.m., and Jace Martian and the Pace will entertain at 3:20 p.m. Queens Court performs at 4:30 p.m., leading up to the evening’s headline acts: Spoons at 6:30 p.m. and David Wilcox at 8:30 p.m. These performances are sure to get the crowd dancing and singing along.

For wrestling enthusiasts, there are three shows at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m., each followed by a meet and greet with Red Diamond. These shows promise high-energy entertainment and the chance to meet your favourite wrestlers up close.

Throughout the day, the KidZone Carnival and Midway will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., offering rides and games that kids of all ages will enjoy. The marketplace vendors will also be open during these hours, providing a variety of goods and treats. Food vendors will be on site from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., ensuring a wide range of delicious options to keep everyone fueled for the festivities.

Additional entertainment includes Doug The Great, performing from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a free photo booth available from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering fun props and instant memories of the day.

The celebration culminates in a dazzling fireworks display at 10:00 p.m., lighting up the sky and capping off a perfect day of celebration.
