June marks the return of the beloved outdoor concert series at the historic Bell Homestead. This year’s lineup includes the “Time to Sing Concert” and the “Summer Serenade Concert,” featuring performances by talented local singers and musicians.

“June is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the outdoor summer concert series on the verandah of the historic Bell Homestead,” said curator Brian Wood. “These concerts aim to showcase local talented musicians and singers with music that highlights the 150th anniversary of the telephone.”

The series kicks off with the “Time to Sing Concert” on Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m., featuring the Brant County Singers. Their performance will include songs that were favorites of the Bell family. This event is free, but donations are welcome and will benefit Brant Food for Thought.

Following this, the “Summer Serenade Concert” will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m. The Brantford Memorial Concert Band will provide a night of instrumental music. Donations at this free event will support the Brantford School of Instrumental Music. In case of rain, the concert will be rescheduled to Sunday, June 23 at 3 p.m.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the performances comfortably. The Exchange Cafe will be open, offering baked goods, ice cream, and beverages for purchase. Additionally, the Phone Booth Museum Store will be open, selling souvenirs and vintage items.
