Pickleplex Brantford Opens as New Indoor Pickleball and Social Club

Last Updated: 4 June 2026By

Pickleball has officially arrived in a bigger way in Brantford.

Pickleplex Brantford opened in May, bringing a new indoor pickleball and social club to the city. Located on Henry Street, the new facility gives local players a year-round place to play, connect, stay active, and take part in one of the fastest-growing recreational sports around.

But Pickleplex is not being positioned as just another place to rent a court.

It is being built as a social club, with pickleball at the centre.

A Social Club Built Around Pickleball

The Brantford location gives players a place to play, but it also gives people a place to gather.

Guests can book court time, join open play, take part in programs, sign up for lessons, or come out with friends for a casual game. The space can also be used for parties, corporate events, and community gatherings.

That social side is a big part of the appeal.

Pickleball is easy to learn, fun to play, and naturally brings people together. You do not have to be an elite athlete to enjoy it. For some players, it is about competition. For others, it is simply a fun way to move, meet people, and stay connected.

Supporting a Healthier Brantford

At the grand opening, David Prang from the Chamber of Commerce spoke about the Chamber’s support for an active and healthy Brantford.

He connected the new facility to the growing interest in health, wellness, and recreation in the community. He also noted that as some traditional tournament formats, such as golf tournaments, are seeing changes, pickleball tournaments are becoming a growing opportunity.

That message fits the moment.

Pickleball has become popular across many age groups because it is social, active, and approachable. It gives people a reason to get out, move around, laugh, compete, and spend time with others.

For Brantford, Pickleplex adds another option for people who want to stay active all year long.

A Place for New and Experienced Players

Pickleplex Brantford is designed for both new and experienced players.

People who are new to the game can get started through beginner-friendly programming, open play, lessons, and clinics. More experienced players can take part in leagues, tournaments, and regular court bookings.

The club is also flexible. Players do not have to become members right away. They can pay as they go, buy session packs, or choose a membership option if they plan to play more often.

That makes it easier for someone to try pickleball without feeling like they have to make a big commitment on day one.

Grand Opening Offers and Simple Pricing

To help introduce the new Brantford location, Pickleplex promoted several grand opening offers.

Opening weekend included free open play from May 29 to 31. The club also promoted discounted punch-pack options for people who plan to play more often.

The advertised grand opening offers included a 10-pack for $160 and a 20-pack for $280, with each punch covering a two-hour open play session.

That works out to $8 per hour with the 10-pack and $7 per hour with the 20-pack.

Players can also pay as they go or look at membership options depending on how often they want to play. Pricing and offers may change, but the opening deals were clearly aimed at giving people an easy way to try the facility and come back with friends.

Youth Programming and Family Play

Youth programming is also part of the plan for Pickleplex Brantford.

While adult open play has its own structure, families can book court time together, and junior programming is being developed to introduce younger players to the sport.

That creates another opportunity for families in Brantford who are looking for active things to do together.

It also gives kids and teens a chance to learn a sport that is continuing to grow across Canada.

Adding to Brantford’s Pickleball Scene

Pickleball was already growing in Brantford before Pickleplex opened.

The city has outdoor courts, drop-in programs, and local players who already enjoy the sport. What Pickleplex adds is a dedicated indoor space that can be used throughout the year.

That matters in a city where weather can limit outdoor play for several months.

With indoor courts, scheduled programs, open play, lessons, and events, Pickleplex gives Brantford players another way to stay connected to the sport no matter the season.

A New Gathering Place for Brantford

As pickleball continues to grow, Pickleplex Brantford gives the city a dedicated indoor home for the sport and the community building that comes with it.

Pickleplex Brantford is located at 221 Henry St., Unit 3, and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
