Last night, my wife and I decided to venture out for coffee, and we thought we’d check out a new spot in the north end of Brantford called Café 1517. Truth be told, we had extra motivation: our daughter Ariel had just started working there, and what better way to show support than becoming customers ourselves? Turns out, this family-inspired visit led us to discover a real hidden gem in Brantford.

Tucked away on the corner of Lynden Rd and Roy Boulevard is where you’ll find this charming boutique café. Its homey vibes and welcoming atmosphere make it more than just another coffee shop.

I decided to go with the spiced Gingerbread Latte – a perfect drink for cold, wet fall evenings. My wife, having bid farewell to her pumpkin spice season, embraced the next holiday refreshment – the Peppermint Latte. Beyond the drinks, Café 1517 has tasty treats from the Tiny Shop … if you know, you know. These snacks add something special to your coffee experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
