Dufferin Park Reopens with Grand Celebration Planned for July

The City of Brantford is delighted to announce that the highly anticipated redevelopment of Dufferin Park at 164 St. Paul Avenue is now complete, and the park is officially open to the public. Residents can look forward to a grand opening celebration scheduled for July, organized in collaboration with the Holmedale Neighbourhood Association.

The redevelopment of Dufferin Park, influenced by the valuable input from the Holmedale Neighbourhood Association, features several new amenities aimed at enhancing the community’s recreational experience. These include:

– Six state-of-the-art tennis courts equipped with lighting and shade structures
– Six pickleball courts also featuring lighting and shade structures
– An asphalt multi-use area, including a basketball court
– A redesigned play area with a shade structure
– A modern central public building with a small indoor meeting space, outdoor patio, storage facilities, and accessible washrooms
– A newly constructed parking lot with accessible spaces and a convenient drop-off area
– Enhanced landscaping throughout the park to create a welcoming and visually appealing environment

The centerpiece of the redevelopment is the brand-new, one-thousand-square-foot Dufferin Park public building. Centrally located within the park, this facility boasts a covered entryway, indoor meeting space, outdoor patio, storage room, and universal public washrooms.

Residents will be pleased to know that access to the Dufferin Park tennis courts will follow the same booking procedures as before the redevelopment. Detailed information about the booking process will be shared closer to the official opening date.
