FOCUS 2024 Conference to Feature Keynote Speaker Allison Forsyth
The Community Sport Councils Ontario (CSCO), in partnership with the City of Brantford and the Brantford Sports Council, is excited to announce the keynote speaker for the upcoming FOCUS 2024 Conference: Allison Forsyth. This highly anticipated event is set to take place on Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24, at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Brantford.

Meet Allison Forsyth
Allison Forsyth, a survivor, Olympian, and Safe Sport expert, will be the keynote speaker for the event. She will provide a comprehensive overview of the Safe Sport movement, detailing the progress made thus far and emphasizing the importance of implementing Safe Sport practices at the community level. Forsyth’s session will educate attendees on starting their Safe Sport journey and the key aspects necessary to protect participants and organizations.
Biography
Allison Forsyth, the founder of Generation Safe, is a leader in groundbreaking education and awareness in the Canadian Safe Sports landscape. Her ‘real-talk’ educational approach has resonated with over 50 sports organizations and 5,000 people nationwide. Recently named one of the ‘Top 25 Women of Influence in Canada in 2023,’ Forsyth’s guiding principles have been instrumental in helping organizations turn their Safe Sport policies into practice.
Previously, Forsyth co-founded ITP Sport, Canada’s only full-service Safe Sports programming and consulting agency. As a two-time Olympian and eight-time National Champion in alpine skiing, Forsyth offers a unique and critical perspective as a survivor of sexual abuse in the sport system. She recently took on a role with Canada Soccer as their Safe Sports Officer, where she ensures the trauma-informed systemic implementation of Safe Sports practices and procedures from the national to the grassroots level.
Forsyth currently lives in Oakville, Ontario, with her three active children, who inspire her vision for a future ‘Generation Safe.’
